The way Geek has it set up, it's got something. It does the 'right at the edge of breakup' thing REALLY well. That's what I've been looking for in all the distortion pedals I've ever owned. This is the only one I've ever heard that does it. Fuck that retarded TS808 bullshit. The ballbreaker can do the pissy-assed Marshall thing easy, but just dial down the DIST to just above halfway...adjust the presence and tone, and it's just like having a stack-in-the-box (as opposed to a TS808 jack-off-in-a-sock). I'm getting one and chucking the other wretched boxes. All I need is a Ranger and Ball Breaker for extra drive.

this thing is a monster. It is for real. Marshall Super Lead tone in a box—esp. if the amp is breaking up a little on its own. Cranked Marshall and modded Marshall tones all over the place—even with a pushed blackface amp. I'm kind of amazed. Really. Huge volume boost if you want it. Single notes are as fat as chords. NOT overly compressed. I do not take pedals off my board when I have purchased something new. It has not changed in many years—everything works so well. However, this is knocking something off. I paid for this, and am not associated with the builder in any way. I don't gush about stuff unless it bests what I already have. I can't wait to gig with this thing. Guys, this thing absolutely kills with a Les Paul, Strat or Tele. I've never heard a pedal so big and fat on single notes. It sounds incredible. I used a Tele and a Strat with the BBB yesteday into a Matchless set clean. This is the best British style overdrive I've ever heard, and I can't believe how big and real it sounds.

The pedal has volume, presence, tone and distortion. First I noticed how loud the pedal could get. It has mucho output if needed. The tone knob is designed so that at noon, it is flat. I love the sound of this guitar, so that was the best spot. The presence knob is really great---it seems to control some compression, feel/thrust and high end content at the same time. With the distortion knob maxed, the amp clean channel on the edge of breakup, presence at 9:00, tone at noon, I got an incredible sound. Full, fat, but with clarity and just a hint of cranked amp compression. Like a raging Marshall. Chords are big and tight, with no bottom end mush. Single notes are as fat and loud as chords--nothing thin about anything I played. Plenty of cut and clang. This is not a rhythm or lead pedal---it does both well, and at the same time. The big sound and volume it can produce is really attractive to me. The British Ball Breaker also cleans up extremely well. You ran have the pedal on with a lot of gain, and roll your guitar back to the same sound as before you clicked it on. Very cool. With the amp set completely clean, the pedal is not quite as impressive. It works well, but sounds a bit more like a pedal. However, if you have a little hair on your clean tone OR your amp is dynamic and sensitive to boosts and overdrives, this pedal will get you into hot Super Lead territory with a click. Depending on your amp and its gain, you can get cranked Marshall to modded Marshall tones. The Demeter also has two wonderful gain channels, and I compared the pedal to those. The BBB pedal was less compressed, and had stronger midrange and punch. I played for about an hour, tweaking the knobs and really enjoying the sound. I have not changed a pedal on my small gigging board in years. This is knocking something off.

Spent more time today with my live rig, this pedal and a Strat. Unfriggin'believable. Huge sound, not noisy, plenty of output, great dynamics, wonderful sound and feel. It has a ton of tones it it, and sounds REAL—even with the gain down low. On sustained notes, harmonics just bloom into feedback all over the neck. Single notes sound as fat as chords. This thing is juicy! This is the best pedal new pedal I have played in years, and easily worth the money. It is staying on my board, and I can't wait to use it this weekend. It has no pickup bias, keeps the guitar's personality, but makes it wild and FAT. Highest recommendation.

It's official...The Geek Screamer rocks! I had the opportunity to play at a party last night sans the usual elaborate setup...just the Divided by 13, Les Paul and the screamer. I had to get some low volume growl and boy it sounded great. I had total control of my rig with just my volume control on the guitar. The tone reminded me of the Live Gentle Giant album from 1977...it just sounded great. You guys need to have one, it's a real TOOL!

The GeekScreamer II is holy-shit ass-kicking!
I used it last night, and people started speaking in tongues, eyes rolled back in their heads, vacillating to the mystic voodoo, or I did anyway.

I have to also add the fact that Geek's pedals are a killer!!! I already own two of them and I have to say that beside the fact that he knows what TONE is, he strives to bring the best out of his pedals!!!
And you have to recognize that the MOJO comes from that fantastic picture!!!!!!

I'm a Geek believer too!  My Screamer rocks! Can't wait 'til band practice next week!

All i can say is.---------------------------------------------------------speechless..

Now back to the boring part of my life (Visual Basic coding)

Got my Geek on today! The Geekscreamer came in the mail this afternoon! I didn't have that much time at the office to plug in today BUT when I did it was OUTSTANDING! I really love that thing with my strat! Haven't tried it with my LP YET! The strat stays nice and fat even on the bridge PUP! I like that a LOT!
